L'Esbart Dansaire de Sentmenat


The Group Dancer of Sentmenat.

The Group Dancer (Esbart) of Sentmenat, is born in October of 1992, during that course we integrated itself in the Esbart (group) de Caldes de Montbui. When the finishing the course, in 1993 July, meetings in the hotel stay villa of Caldes, between dancers and coreographes of the Esbart (group) de Caldes de Montbui, who tired of the form in which he goes their Esbart have been deciding to do something by his own.

Exist, for already some years, a certain interest on the part of the consistable policeman of Sentmenat to take an initiative of this type. It was enough with putting in contact to Xavier Mesa and Joan Guardia, coreographer of either the inactive Esbart (group) of Caldes de Montbui and mayor of Sentmenat, respectively.

Of this first meeting left or the decision to take the Esbart (group) of dancers Sentmenat.

begins to work in the definition of the system of operation of the Erbart and the day of the greater celebration of August, taking advantage of the action the Esbart (group) of Rubi, distributes to pamphlets explaining the existence of the E.d.S. and inviting to everybody to form part of this.

Since then until today 30 actions have been made in diverse points of Catalonia in popular celebrations and in acts of private organizations.
